The artist displayed a running tap and an overfilled bucket with water flowing into drainage. He completed his artwork with ‘Don’t Waste Water’ slogan written at the bottom of it. The background of the sculpture looks like a drought-stricken land with cracks in the soil.

With India’s 30% of land gone under degradation and many states suffering from water scarcity, it is absolutely necessary to save water and use it judiciously.

Voicing his anxiety over water crisis, Pattnaik created another sand sculpture highlighting the fate of the human race (and all living species for that matter). He created a drought-like scenario on the beach and in the middle of it stood his sculpture with the mantra ‘Save Water, Save Life’, while a boy is shown with his hands under a water tap.

Sharing this work on Twitter, the artist wrote: “Be a water hero”.
