Snow-Capped Himalayas Visible from UP’s Saharanpur for Second Year in Row

With the second wave of the coronavirus hitting the country, most of India is under lockdown once again. The lockdown has evidently reduced the pollution like last year, making the snow-capped Himalayas are visible from Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur for the second year in a row.

Last year, the residents of Saharanpur were blessed with the view of the beautiful Himalayas from their home. Bihar and Jalandhar also enjoyed the views of snow-covered mountain ranges.

Once again, the amazing photos of snow-laden Himalayas from UP’s Saharanpur have gone viral on social media. After heavy rains, the people could clearly see the spectacular snow-capped mountain range, which is about 200 km away in Uttarakhand. Apparently, the view is even better than last year, due to the unexpected summer rains brought by the effects of Cyclone Tauktae.

As the cyclone moved north- northeastwards from the Gujarat coast, heavy showers enhanced the air quality index in several towns, providing an amazing view to the residents.

People on social media were pretty excited to see the photos second year in a row, with many exhibiting concerns regarding efforts that should be made to conserve nature and improve air quality.

Earlier in April 2020, the Dhauladhar range in Himachal Pradesh was visible from Punjab’s Jalandhar city. In May 2020, images of Mount Everest seen from a small village in Bihar went viral as well.
