This development has created a buzz on the internet and left netizens in both awe and shock. The forest department stated that it was the first time that a king cobra was sighted or documented in the state.

The snake was first spotted by a local resident, who clicked photos on his phone and sent them to the wildlife department. The forest department team visited the area and found traces of the presence of the reptile.

The one-and-a-half-minute-long video shows the snake moving from the ground below, into the wild bushes which were at a height. On average, most male snakes of the species are about 10 to 13 feet in size, and this one is right up there being 13-14 feet by the looks of it.

Soon, the video of King Cobra which was spotted for the first time in the Sirmaur district, Himachal Pradesh, was making rounds on social media. People were thrilled at the sight of the huge reptile, while some stated their concern over the reptile’s safety!
