Pregnant Cow’s Jaw Blown Off After Allegedly Eating Firecracker-Filled Wheat Ball
Mankind seems to be getting more and more barbaric, hurting, and killing fellow beings. While, it is a punishable crime to hurt or kill another human being, there aren’t any laws in place against humans hurting wildlife.
A few days after the ruthless death of pregnant elephant which was caused after she ate a firecracker-filled pineapple; a similar incident has surfaced from Himachal Pradesh, where a pregnant cow was made to consume firecrackers-filled in a wheat flour ball which blew its jaw off!

The cow owner Gurdial Singh released a video, accusing his neighour Nand Lal Dhiman of Dahad village in Bilaspur district, of being responsible for the injuries to the pregnant cow.
As per the reports, the incident took place on May 26 in Jhanduta, Bilaspur following which photos of the cow with blown-off jaw went viral on social media.
Bilaspur SP Divakar Sharma said,
A highly explosive firecracker was kept inside a ball of wheat flour that blew off when the cow was consuming the food.
A first information report was registered under sections – 286, 429 – of the Indian Penal Code, pertaining to mischief by maiming cattle and Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. An arrest was made after the video footage by cow owner went viral on social media platforms.
A man was arrested in Bilaspur district on an allegation by the owner of the pregnant cow that he deliberately injured the animal by feeding it some eatables mixed with explosives.
Bilaspur Superintendent of Police Dewakar Sharma said Nand Lal was arrested on Saturday from his village Dahad. Police visited the crime spot with a medical team, which examined the cow whose mouth and jaw was heavily injured. The cow was provided with immediate medical aid.
According to SP Mr. Sharma said that the wounds appeared to have been inflicted by some explosive material that people in rural areas usually use to scare animals off from destroying their crops. The medical team collected some samples of the cow’s blood and injured skin near the jaw for further forensic tests.
Cow owner Gurdial Singh reported the incident on May 25 stating that his pregnant cow was grazing in a field at a distance of 20 meters from his house at 8:15 p.m. when he heard an explosion. The cow owner also added in his complaint that he suspected his neighbour Nand Lal being behind the mischief.
Days after the incident, the cow also gave birth to a baby calf.
It is rather difficult to feel bad for the human race who are currently enduring frequent natural calamities and pandemics, after witnessing such horrific deeds of brutality against innocent living beings.
